Hancock has become Michigan's newest Complete Streets city! Hancock's Complete Streets ordinance, approved by the city council on April 16, calls for designs for new roads and renovations that safely accommodate pedestrians, cyclists and transit users of all ages and abilities, along with meeting the needs of traditional users like cars, freight and emergency vehicles.
BIKE! wishes to thank Hancock's city council, planning commission, and bike and pedestrian committee for their hard work on the new policy, and pledges its support as Hancock develops a Non-Motorized Transportation Network Plan over the next 12-18 months.
