National Bike Challenge
May 1 - September 30, 2016
BIKE! is proud to coordinate the Local Challenge for Houghton and Keweenaw Counties in the National Bike Challenge again for 2016. Compete against your friends and coworkers, reach your personal goals and be a part of the biggest group ride ever!
In 2015, BIKE! saw 281 riders sign up for the Challenge, logging a total of over 119,000 miles. This put our Local Challenge in the #1 spot nationally!
This year, we're setting goals to reach 400 registered riders and log a total of 150,000 miles. Let's get out there and take the #1 spot for Local Challenges nationally again in 2016.
Our local challenge finished in the top spot nationally last year! Sincere thanks to all the dedicated riders, as well as everyone in BIKE! and others who helped get the word out.
Read more about last year's challenge, and check out our news release.
Head over to http://nationalbikechallenge.org/ to sign up. Your ZIP code gets you into the local challenge, and you can link up your Strava, Endomondo, or MapMyRide, accounts if you'd like.

April 30 Midnight BIKE! Ride
Eight riders came out way past their bedtimes for a midnight ride to kick off the challenge. After warming up by the campfire, we took a 10-mile loop around Houghton and Hancock. Check out our flickr for photos of this and other events.
Stay tuned for more group rides this year!
